Godwin Limberg, MSc
Regional Manager
Godwin is the Regional Manager at Daemeter Consulting, based in Samarinda, East Kalimantan. An expert on sustainable development and conservation in Borneo with an extensive network, he has worked in the island for more than two decades, after completing a Master degree in Tropical Crop Science at the Wageningen Agricultural University in the Netherlands.
 
Throughout his career, Godwin has employed numerous methods, including participatory mapping, action research, adaptive collaborative management, adult education, community empowerment and local capacity building in addressing the issues of sustainable development and conservation in agriculture, forestry, and mining sectors. He has worked for various organisations, including Yayasan Tambuhak Sinta, Fauna and Flora International, Rio Tinto Foundation, and the Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR).


Godwin was one of the editors of The Decentralization of Forest Governance Politics, Economics and the Fight for Control of Forests in Indonesian Borneo, published by Earthscan in 2009. He also co-authored six chapters of the book.
