Karen Edwards, MSc
Karen Edwards is an Associate at Daemeter Consulting, contributing in-depth knowledge particularly on community-based natural resources management and innovative facilitation to our team. She has extensive experience as a long-term advisor to governments, NGOs, donors, and technical teams in various countries in Asia and Africa, including Indonesia, Malawi, Thailand, and Myanmar.
 
Karen has developed a number of training and facilitation manuals, including on community-based forest biomass monitoring and on Free, Prior and Informed Consent (FPIC) in REDD+ Initiatives. Between 2011-2014, she has facilitated dozens of international conferences and meetings with groups between 30-300 people on forest governance, environment, human rights and landscape approaches for clients such as ICRAF, CIFOR, and IIED.She has also supported stakeholder dialogue and consultation processes for private sector clients including Unilever and Nestlé.
 

Karen holds a Master’s degree on forestry and its relation to land use from the University of Oxford in the UK. She completed her Bachelor degree on agriculture at the University of Reading.
