Blair Palmer, PhD
Blair Palmer is an Associate at Daemeter Consulting, with more than two decades of experience working in international development in Indonesia. His expertise includes political economy, environmental governance in land-use sectors, conflict analysis, program development and project management.

Prior to working independently, Blair served for three years as Director of Environmental Governance with the Asia Foundation Indonesia, where he built and managed a US$12 million program addressing the political economy of forest governance through support to civil society. He spent five years at the World Bank, leading the analysis of conflict and political dynamics in Indonesia, and contributed to the design and implementation of a large scale conflict database.
 
Blair has a PhD in social anthropology from the Australian National University. Fluent in Indonesian, he is based in Auckland in New Zealand but travels extensively across Indonesia on various projects.
