Neil Franklin, PhD

Neil is a Director at Daemeter Consulting, with more than two decades experiences leading and/or advising government, non-governmental and private sector entities, with an extensive network in Indonesia. He specialises in sustainable solutions to bridge complex environmental, social and multi-stakeholder interests, promoting sustainable business strategy in diverse, multi-cultural environments at grassroots and senior corporate level.

Neil holds degrees from Oxford University and University of York, UK, including a PhD on forest conservation, wildlife and protected area management. This involved the first studies on the endangered Sumatran rhino and Sumatran tiger, representing UK, US and Canadian charities in Indonesia.

Active in advising the private sector, he has been a Special Advisor to the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) and Senior Advisor to the rapidly expanding Indonesian Business Council for Sustainable Development (IBCSD). Neil has completed Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) certified training on sustainability reporting.
