The policy brief, commissioned by the UK Government and Australian Government, intended to provide informed insight into the potential implications of the recent Constitutional Court Decision No. 45/PUU-IX/2011 on forests, development, and REDD+. For use by government, donor agencies and other concerned stakeholders, the brief aims to reduce confusion pertaining to the decision and identify how the likelihood of negative outcomes can be minimized.

Recommendations provided in this brief are aligned towards identifying actions and key actors that can play a role in ensuring outcomes are to the greatest overall benefit vis-à-vis the national government’s Green Growth agenda.
