Daemeter and Proforest are developing a stakeholder engagement strategy and natural resources management programme for Weda Bay Nickel's project in Indonesia, incorporating international best practices into local contexts.

Daemeter's team, in partnership with Proforest, is assisting Weda Bay Nickel, a unit of Paris-based Eramet, in developing a comprehensive stakeholder engagement strategy for one of Indonesia's biggest new mining operations. This includes facilitating multi-stakeholder forums, at the local, national and international level, and encouraging stakeholder monitoring of the mining company's operations.

Daemeter and Proforest are also unifying natural resources management activities into an integrated vision, strategy and action plan that tailors international best practices according to the local and national contexts. We are identifying possible synergies and partnerships to highlight and support the project's preparation before operations start.
